SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it can be alarmed about the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant variety of sassa status check clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The provider position designed for intervention encounters a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to enable the servicing of all clients and enhance use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
